Portable 3 phase inverter power gives military, fleet, and field-service operations access to 120V single-phase and 220/240V three-phase AC power where conventional three-phase utility service is unavailable. The Interstate Lift IL-PPI-10HP portable inverter cart provides 12,000 watts of output power and is rated for motors up to 10 HP.

The inverter cart uses four 12-volt batteries as its 24-volt DC battery supply. The battery system can be supported or recharged from a standard 110V AC outlet through the built-in charger. It can also connect directly to a military vehicle through its 24-volt NATO connection, allowing the inverter to provide portable AC power during field maintenance and other remote operations.

Portable Three-Phase Power for Field Equipment

The IL-PPI-10HP provides 12,000 watts of continuous output power with surge capability up to 35,000 watts. It can supply 120V single-phase power as well as 220/240V three-phase power at 60 Hz, allowing the cart to operate a variety of shop and field-service equipment.

Three-phase output is rated at 14 amps per phase at 240 VAC, while 120V single-phase output is rated at 30 amps continuous. The inverter is rated for motors up to 10 HP, making it suitable for equipment such as three-phase vehicle lifts, welders, and other powered service equipment used where conventional utility power is not available.

 

24-Volt Battery Power with NATO Vehicle Charging

The portable inverter cart is designed to operate from its onboard 24-volt battery system, which uses four 12-volt batteries. For extended operation, the inverter performs best when supported by an outside power source. It can remain connected to a standard 110V AC outlet through its built-in battery charger, helping maintain the battery pack while the inverter is being used. This portable 3 phase inverter allows field-service personnel to operate compatible AC equipment while maintaining the battery system from an available external power source.

For military field applications, the cart can also be connected directly to a 24-volt military vehicle through its NATO connector. This allows the vehicle to support the inverter system when conventional electrical service is unavailable, making the cart useful for maintenance operations performed away from a permanent shop.

The inverter can also operate from battery power alone. Runtime will depend on the electrical load being placed on the system. If battery voltage becomes too low, the inverter automatically shuts down to protect the system.

Built for Demanding Field Service

The IL-PPI-10HP portable 3 phase inverter is designed for demanding military, fleet, industrial, and field-service applications where conventional three-phase power may not be available. The system provides automatic short-circuit shutdown, automatic high-temperature shutdown, surge-overload protection, and an output circuit breaker.

The inverter is designed to withstand vibration and includes LED indicators for inverter power, low input voltage, overload, and high-temperature conditions. An elapsed-time hour meter is also provided to help track operating time, and the system includes provisions for a remote switch connection.

With output options for both single-phase and three-phase equipment, the inverter cart can support a broad range of maintenance tools and service equipment in locations where permanent electrical infrastructure is limited or unavailable. Applications can include vehicle lifts, welders, shop tools, and other compatible 120V or 220/240V equipment within the inverter’s power rating.

Important Operating Considerations

The inverter cart is not waterproof and should be protected from rain, standing water, and other conditions that could expose the electrical system to moisture. Battery-only operating time will vary depending on the connected load, so connection to a vehicle or 110V charging source can be used when longer operating periods are required. The IL-PPI-10HP portable 3 phase inverter is a substantial field-power unit weighing approximately 450 pounds and measuring about 20 × 30 × 14 inches. The inverter operates at greater than 85% efficiency and is designed for mobile service environments where dependable AC power is needed away from permanent three-phase electrical service. The portable 3 phase inverter can provide a practical field-power solution when three-phase equipment must be operated away from permanent electrical service.
